CSUN to Host Award-Winning Filmmaker Tatiana Huezo for Screening, Q-and-A

On Wednesday, September 7, El Nuevo Sol and CSUN Latino Journalists will co-present their first panel discussion of the 2011-12 school year, featuring filmmaker Tatiana Huezo Sánchez, director of The Tiniest Place.

The Tiniest Place, which is currently being screened in Los Angeles as part of DocuWeeks 2011, is an award-winning documentary about a small village in the jungles of El Salvador, which managed to rebuild itself after being ravaged by war.

Huezo will conduct a Q-and-A in the Whitsett Room at 9:30 a.m. She will also discuss and share stories of the village.

El Miércoles, 7 de Septiembre, El Nuevo Sol y CSUN Latino Journalists presentarán el primer panel del año universitario 2011-12, presentando a la documentarista Tatiana Huezo Sánchez, directora del documental El lugar más pequeño.

Además de ser parte de DocuWeeks en Los Angeles, El documental El lugar más pequeño relata la historia de un pequeño pueblo entre la selva de El Salvador, el cual se reconstruye después de ser destruido por la guerra.

En el panel se llevará acabo una sesión de preguntas y respuestas en el Whitsett Room a las 9:30 a.m. y también compartirá sus experiencias en el pueblo.
